Meet our Court Reporter, Victoria Leckie!

Vicki was working in data entry when she decided that she wanted to make a change and try working in a new field. She left her data entry position and took the summer off to figure out what she wanted to do next. Vicki’s mom owned a clothing store, and Vicki was able to spend time visiting her mom at the store throughout that summer. During one of Vicki’s visits to her mom’s store, Vicki’s mom struck up a conversation with a customer that had been a court reporter. This customer shared her court reporting experiences with Vicki, which led her to immediately begin looking into court reporting! She enrolled in classes right away to start working towards earning her court reporting certification. Vicki hasn’t looked back since!

Vicki has now been a court reporter for 33 years! At the start of her court reporting career, she began working for Starkovich Reporting Services which was eventually acquired by B&A Litigation Services. She has spent all but one year of her court reporting career working for B&A. She has enjoyed watching the company grow and transform through its different iterations throughout the years! Vicki has been a primary reporter for us throughout her career. She has reported many in-person and virtual depositions over the years but has really come to appreciate the growing opportunity to cover virtual depositions, as that has allowed her even more flexibility in her daily life! Vicki enjoys working with the B&A team and has found it extremely valuable that the company’s CEO, Steve Crandall, comes from an extensive legal and technical background. She believes his knowledge has served to be an asset when handling the technical and legal queries that have come up throughout the years as the landscape of the court reporting industry is ever-changing.

In her free time, Vicki enjoys gardening, baking, walking, traveling, and spending time with her 10-year old dog, Paco, and her husband, Gary. Vicki and her husband love taking road trips together and traveling around the country. Vicki and her husband are planning a future trip to Thailand, and they’ve really been enjoying planning and organizing this dream trip!

She’s looking forward to retiring in the next few years, so she can spend more time with her family and continue traveling!
