Meet our Court Reporter, Samantha Winchester!

Samantha previously worked in the music field as a gigging pianist and teacher for over a decade. She explored a lot of different careers trying to find the right fit. After taking a career aptitude test, she discovered one of her top results was court reporting. After doing some more research into the field, she knew this was her calling. She bought her steno machine right away and signed up for the A to Z course.

Samantha received her RSR certification in March of 2023. After receiving her certification, she reached out to her friend Melaina Bell, our scheduling assistant, to let her know she was ready for depositions! Samantha was very quickly onboarded with us, shadowing our Vice President, Sarah Fitzgibbon. She completed her very first deposition in April of 2023! Since then, she has been a consistent virtual reporter for us, taking depositions daily. She is very grateful to B&A for being so supportive with the start of her court reporting career. She loves all of the staff that she gets to communicate with and appreciates the helpful and supportive environment. She’s noticed a lot of growth in her skills and confidence on the job. She’s really enjoyed the opportunities of taking expert testimony depositions and all of the new words that come with it!

In her free time, she participates on a rowing team, loves watching horror movies, knitting and crocheting, and playing piano and guitar. She also loves spending time with her four cats and husband!

She is looking forward to her first race with her rowing team!
