Meet our Court Reporter, April Cook!

Right after high school, April enlisted in the Army. While in the Army, April was trained in occupational therapy and that is what began her first career. She worked in sub-acute geriatric occupational therapy. After a few years in her career, Medicare restructured how they paid service providers in the early 2000s. Due to staff reductions, April decided to look into other careers. Her high school aptitude test results pointed her towards law and medicine. Having already worked in medicine, she decided to look into law and stumbled across the Court Reporting field. After some research, she enrolled in Green River College and began her court reporting journey. She graduated from court reporting school in 2011. Shortly after graduating, she began working for Starkovich Reporting, which eventually led her to our company.

In 2016, she began working with Byers & Anderson (now B&A Litigation Services). Since then, she has been a primary reporter for us. She has done many depositions over the years and has even traveled for us. Today, she does a number of virtual and in-person depositions for us daily. She really enjoys the team at B&A. She says, “the staff and videographers are always such a joy to work with.” In addition to working with us full-time, she is starting the process for attaining her RPR certification.

In her free time, she loves to play in Volleyball and Pickleball leagues, baking and decorating specialty cookies, and loves to travel!

She is looking forward to her vacation in 2 weeks! She is taking her whole family to Disneyland! She is also looking forward to attending Cookie-Con in the fall. Four days of tastings, swapping recipes, cookie decorating classes, doesn’t get much better than that!
